They were very watchful and I was only able to get close enough that my binoculars were the tool of choice. They were poking through the silt at the edge of the pond, looking for worms, etc. Both males and females. You are so right, Marlene! Every glimpse is a jeweled treasure. NCMW, I would pay to see them fly full tilt into the box! Maybe build a wood-duck box, Vicki? Maybe they would stay!<br />EloraElorahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04579555623060708938noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3642807619836239233.post-15945979430183382372011-03-10T22:11:12.252-05:002011-03-10T22:11:12.252-05:00Lucky you! What an amazing sight to see them flying full speed into those boxes. Once we were lucky enough to see the little ducklings take their first plunge from the box. You are blessed to have them.NCmountainwomanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00615765649828716560noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3642807619836239233.post-89332430178448728182011-03-10T13:20:21.341-05:002011-03-10T13:20:21.341-05:00Elora -- wood ducks are beautiful.
